Looks cool but Id like historically-faithful weapondry I really hate fanciful weapons that end up looking like lollipops. I'm thinking about stupid-looking manga that has done great harm to the sword&sorcery imaginarium. Not the case in your art of course... Well, I ramble... Nice work!
Well, I think you are blaming manga a little bit too much. There's nothing in that sword that can't be seen in real world swords. The world is big, and not always follow the european patern of straight blades and longswords. Check this for some historical blades: [link]
Everyone knows giants have short legs and long arms. Just like goblins, trolls, owlbears, halflings, dwarves, sahuagin, ogres, gnolls, and every single other monster in this gallery.
I don't know if it's the art director or the concept artist, but someone really likes gorilla proportions over there.
I would agree with KngOfOdonata (may he ever reign?) -- the legs seem out of proportion. In fact, I've thought that overall of a lot in this batch -- too top heavy and not balanced.
